SurgiCare of Manhattan’s medical facilities are located on on the 7th Floor at 800 Second Ave., right between 42nd and 43rd Street in New York, NY 10017.

As a patient in a Surgery Center in New York State, you have the right, consistent with law. You can read your Bill of rights in the Patients’ Bill of Rights section in the menu.

You can find our office at the 7th floor.

If you are receiving anesthesia you must arrange for someone to escort you home after the surgery, preferably by car. Your escort must be 18 years of age and able to remain with you for the first 24 hours. Patients who are under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a legal guardian upon arrival. SurgiCare of Manhattan offers a comfortable waiting room where your escort will have access to television, magazines, and coffee. If your escort would like to step outside, they may leave their number with our receptionist who will contact them when you enter the post anesthesia recovery unit.

Please wear comfortable clothing that may fit over any casts, dressings, or slings. Please wear comfortable shoes with a low heel and grip. Please keep your makeup minimal and leave all jewelry at home. Your belongings will be kept in a labeled bag and transported to your bed in the post anesthesia recovery unit.

Please bring a photo ID to gain access to the lobby at 800 Second Avenue. Please bring your insurance card, a list of current medications you are taking, and your reading glasses. Please leave all jewelry, credit cards, money, and valuables at home as we are not responsible for them. If you bring any valuable items with you, we kindly ask that you leave them with your escort.

A nurse from our staff will contact you within 72 hours of your surgery. They will make three separate attempts to contact you by phone. They will ask you about your recovery and your experience as a patient at SurgiCare of Manhattan. Please let us know if there is anything we can improve upon or that you enjoyed during your visit.
