Gary J. Sherman, DPM, is a board ceritifed Podiatric Surgeon with thirty-five years of experience in the field of cosmetic and reconstructive foot surgery. It is this combination of technical skill, training, and integrity that he brings to his surgical practice and offers to his patients.
Ideally located in midtown Manhattan, Dr. Sherman’s state of-the-art suite is a safe and convenient alternative to a hospital setting for most podiatric procedures. More extensive procedures may be performed at the prestigious New York University Downtown Hospital, where Dr. Sherman is the Director of Podiatry.
Dr. Sherman’s well-appointed consultation and exam areas provide the ideal environment for the confidentiality of the individual doctor-patient relationship. This ensures the highest standard of training and patient care.
Dr. Sherman graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine in 1971. In 1979, he was elected a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
Presently, Dr. Sherman is a clinical professor of Podiatric Surgery at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine.
Dr. Sherman’s specialty is surgery of the foot and ankle. His practice includes, but is not limited to, correction of bunions, hammertoes, and foot deformaties, as well as care of ulcers and wounds associated with diabetes and peripheral vascular disease. He has also been active in Podiatric Sports Medicine.
